SYMPOSIUM ABSTRACT

The 15th International Symposium on Nonlinear Acoustics will be held in Göttingen, Germany, 1 - 4 September 1999. Chairman of the Symposium will be Werner Lauterborn. The Symposium will include invited and contributed papers on the following general topics:

Propagation of finite amplitude sound in fluids and solids
Nonlinear response in highly nonlinear solids (damaged and earth materials)
Interaction of finite amplitude sound with particles and boundaries
Cavitation and sonoluminescence
Thermoacoustics, acoustic streaming, Bjerknes forces
Industrial and medical applications of nonlinear acoustics, high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and Lithotripsy
Sonochemistry

There will be conference proceedings. English will be the language for both the manuscripts and the oral presentations.
