The 15th International Symposium on Nonlinear Acoustics will
be held in Göttingen, Germany, 1 - 4 September 1999. Chairman of the
Symposium will be Werner Lauterborn. The Symposium will include
invited and contributed papers on the following general topics:
- Propagation of finite amplitude sound in fluids and
solids
- Nonlinear response in highly nonlinear solids
(damaged and earth materials)
- Interaction of finite amplitude sound with particles and
boundaries
- Cavitation and sonoluminescence
- Thermoacoustics, acoustic streaming, Bjerknes forces
- Industrial and medical applications of nonlinear acoustics,
high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and Lithotripsy
- Sonochemistry
There will be conference proceedings. English will be the language for
both the manuscripts and the oral presentations.
