Simulation of bubble motion in acoustic cavitation

Abstract

When a liquid is exposed to strong sound fields, acoustic cavitation bubbles occur. They can move rapidly and form structures. Particle approaches can be used to model the experimental observations. A closer investigation of the mutual forces between strongly oscillating bubbles reveals the complexity of the such posed many body problem.
